Removing Stickers From Glass Is A Breeze With One Common Boozy Beverage

Stickers can be adorable and serve a purpose, but when it comes to removing them from glass? Not so fun. While liquor is typically associated with mixing up a cocktail, there are also clever uses for vodka around the house. One of its magic powers is helping get rid of those pesky stickers. Sure, rubbing alcohol can similarly be used for the task and is quite a bit cheaper than vodka. It also has a higher alcohol content for getting cleaning jobs done. Yet, there are times when you need to be resourceful, and if vodka is what you have available — it can definitely do the trick! Not to mention, the smell isn't as harsh and long lasting as rubbing alcohol.

When attempting to remove a sticker, you want to be very careful not to damage the glass. Using a scraping tool opens the door to possibly leaving scratches on the surface. Vodka, in general, is safe for most glass and shouldn't cause annoying streaks. Just make sure to use actual vodka and not just any kind of alcoholic beverage. There's a difference.

To get your stickers off, start by grabbing a bottle of unflavored vodka and a clean microfiber cloth. Hold the cloth against the bottle's opening and pour until it's saturated. Then, start wiping the sticker remnants and residue. Keep the soaked portion of the cloth against the glass for several minutes if possible, which will help make the removal easier. Continue wiping at the residue until it's fully gone. You can clean your window afterwards for an extra shiny boost. But if it's on a different glass surface, like a picture frame or jar, you should be good to go.

For stickers that are really a pain, just know that sometimes natural techniques can take a little longer. However, due to vodka's high alcohol content, it's able to tackle the remains without requiring a lot of elbow grease or chemicals.
