The Cute Way To Store Toilet Paper In The Open As Bathroom Decor

Let's face it. Toilet paper is the kinda thing that everyone needs. And as events such as the COVID-19 pandemic showed us, people may even hoard it. The thing is, nobody really likes putting it on display, where everyone can see. That's one of the reasons they hide it. Maybe you're among them. But what if you could do something simple to dress it up, like tearing off some squares to make them look like flowers sprouting from your rolls? Would you feel better about storing your toilet paper out in the open? We're betting you would and might even say it looks cute.

To hack your TP stash, you need a couple of rolls of TP. Since you're actually going to create fake flowers, you might want to go with a fluffier roll — a two-ply, at least — like Angel Soft Toilet Paper. You also want to avoid using the very end of the toilet paper, the part where it's glued to the cardboard roll. It won't fluff as nicely.

Additionally, if you're going to have guests and want to make the rolls in the guest bathroom look pretty, consider using different types of toilet paper for this, colored toilet paper, perhaps. You have multiple options for this. If you'd like a subtle look, you could go for a light-colored paper, like pink. Renova Colored Toilet Paper is a good option. Or, try Gilprop Novelty Colored Toilet Paper for a little more variety and pizzazz.

Creating the toilet paper flowers

It's really easy to make this TP flower display. You'll need a full roll of toilet paper, which you'll stand upright. Pull one square of TP off of it and lay the square over the top of the roll. Pull another square off. Place it on the first square in a criss-crossing fashion so that the corners lay over the sides of the bottom piece. In other words, you don't want the corners of the squares to line up.

Repeat this until you have about 10 squares of toilet paper stacked on top of the TP roll. Once you do, gently press into the center of the stack, pushing the middle of the squares down into the cardboard tube. Fluff the edges of the squares out, and then store the toilet paper on a shelf or the back of the toilet.

If you're using colored paper, you could also try alternating the squares for a multi-colored display. For example, use two rolls of pink toilet paper and one roll of white. Put down a pink square, then a white one, and then a pink one on each roll until you have enough to make the flower. Make a flower like this for each roll. Then, position the white roll between the two pink rolls in the display. Finally, add some essential oils to the inside of the cardboard tube. This is a safe way to create scented toilet paper. Since you're making paper roses for the bathroom, Avatra Rose Essential Oil is a nice final touch, though you could use any essential oil scent you like.
