Not LG, Not Bosch: This Brand's Ovens Rank Highest For Customer Satisfaction

Since you can expect to spend around $600 on a new oven and range combo, you'd want it to last at least 10 years without issues. And even if minor problems crop up along the way, you'd want a company's customer service to be prompt, understanding, and helpful. However, investing in units sold by unreliable appliance brands might make both of these things difficult. This raises the question: What's the most trustworthy and reliable appliance brand when it comes to ovens? According to data collected between July 2024 and June 2025 by the ACSI (American Customer Satisfaction Index), Haier tops the chart as compared to household names like LG and Bosch.

The organization awarded the brand 83 points, with consumers reporting satisfaction across its oven, range, and cooktop units. As GE is owned by Haier, this score includes these three products offered by the former, too. Hotpoint models are also included because their appliances are manufactured by Haier in the U.S. That being said, take the ACSI's score with a pinch of salt. It's because their report only analyzed customer contentment across six major brands, including Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Electrolux, Haier, and Bosch. Although the report mentions including smaller brands, it's unclear which manufacturers were evaluated. So, to avoid getting an unreliable oven, use your judgment and look for model-specific customer reviews on brand websites or major retailers (such as Home Depot and Lowe's) before purchasing an oven, cooktop, or range.

Checking the average star ratings of Haier ranges

To find out how well ACSI scores align with organic customer reviews, we checked the average star rating of units on the brand's sites. Haier only offers four types of electric and gas ranges. All of these models have an average star rating above 4 on the website. The models all received 4.7 stars or above in appearance from a majority of reviewers. Users also appreciate their performance and built-in features. Praising the 30-inch Smart Slide Gas Range with Convection, a consumer noted, "Looks super slick and we were really happy with the convection oven feature. I think we've made 10 homemade pizzas in less than a month because it cooks them so well!" Others report that customer service agents are helpful. Although quality scores vary across units, most purchasers feel these ranges offer good value.

However, a few customers complain about the knobs peeling off over time. They venture that this is because they aren't made of stainless steel. As such, heat escaping from the door's sides may cause the plastic film on the knobs to peel with repeated use. Some reviewers also noted the lack of a timer on certain models, like the 30-inch Smart Slide-In Gas Range with Convection, and the light going out after a few months. Luckily, all  models come with a one-year limited warranty that covers both parts and labor.

The average star ratings of GE and Hotpoint ranges and ovens

GE offers an extensive collection of ovens, with more than 20 models listed on its site. The brand offers various sizes and types of wall ovens, including single and double models. All units have an average star rating of 4 or higher, with consumers appreciating their appearance and performance. Sharing why they like the 30-inch Smart Built-In Self-Clean Convection Single Wall Oven with No Preheat Air Fry model, a purchaser wrote, "Love everything about this oven. Great features, cooks beautifully, even provides a temperature probe that works flawlessly." Plus, since GE products are manufactured in the U.S., customers also enjoy the benefits of buying American-made appliances.

With that said, some customers have expressed issues with the doors sticking (prominent in the 24-inch Electric Single Self-Cleaning Wall Oven), the lack of a user manual in feature-rich models like the 27-inch Smart Built-In Convection Double Wall Oven, and the touchscreen lagging after a few months in smart units. A few customers also reported unhelpful customer service and difficulty getting the brand to honor its one-year warranty.

GE also sells electric, gas, and induction cooktops. Similar to the wall ovens, the majority of them have an average star rating of 4 and higher, with one or two models lagging behind in each category. As for Hotpoint, you'll find both electric and gas ranges on the official site. Since there are no reviews on the official website, we checked their performance at Lowe's. According to those listings, most customers rate the brand's ranges at 4 stars or higher.
