Everyone Will Be Buying Dollar Tree Fences When They See This Outdoor DIY

Gardening is an enjoyable way to grow your own food or flowers, and has also been proven to offer both mental and physical benefits, making it a worthwhile hobby. If you find yourself spending a lot of time tending to or appreciating your plants in the warmer months, some furniture, like a chair and table, is among the outdoor features that make every gardener's life easier. Instead of buying a premade table, YouTuber @Belindadiys has a fantastic tutorial on turning Dollar Tree materials, such as fences and a serving tray, into the perfect garden side table with a stone-like finish.

To recreate the project, you'll need two Dollar Tree plastic fence panels and one round serving platter. You'll also need super glue, hot glue, painter's tape, and spray paint of your choice. Even though it's made from inexpensive materials, the finished table can still function as a decorative outdoor accent piece. Best of all, you can customize its color to suit your preferences.

To make your table, turn your platter upside down and position one piece of the fence on its rim. Use a crayon or chalk marker to mark the spots where the fence meets the platter. Creator @Belindadiys recommends applying super glue to those markings, then applying hot glue on top — just be sure to avoid the mistakes commonly made when using super glue around the house. Once the glue is in place, firmly press the fence into position and add more hot glue to the backside. Use painter's tape to keep the fence in place while you repeat these steps with the second fence. Once both pieces are connected, allow the glue to fully cure overnight.

By the next day, the glued structure should feel much sturdier. Now, it's time for the customization. In the tutorial, the tray is painted white before a textured stone-effect spray finish is applied to the entire table.
