Are Electric Scissors ACTUALLY Worth It?
Anyone who's had to cut through tons of cardboard or thick fabric knows that regular scissors just don't cut it (pun intended). If you're constantly breaking down delivery boxes or tackling sewing projects, you've maybe wondered whether electric scissors would be an upgrade worth your money. They promise to cut through tough materials more effectively than regular scissors thanks to a battery and rotating blade. That sounds great, especially if your hands get tired after long cutting sessions, but do they actually live up to the hype?
We teamed up with Extreme Reviews to put two popular electric scissors to the test. The first ones are Temu electric scissors, on sale for around $12 (originally $34). They come in a cute pink color and even include a built-in light. The second ones are the WORX electric scissors from Amazon, which cost about $34 and include extra blades plus a storage bag. Both models promise to cut through 1/4-inch-thick material, but can they really deliver? To test them out, Extreme Reviews tried them on cardboard, plastic, leather, denim, faux fur, and other fabrics. And it wouldn't be "extreme" without some out-of-the-box tests: hair cutting, carpeting, pizza, you name it. So which one came out on top? Watch the full test to see whether you should spend your hard-earned money on electric scissors or stick with regular ones.
