It's Sunday night. You've got your popcorn warm and ready, your drinks cool and bubbling on the table, and your blankets laid across the couch. You're ready to tune in to your favorite show for the evening, except you can't find the remote. Now, instead of spending the evening relaxing and enjoying your show, you're digging through couch cushions, feeling across the carpet, and looking under the coffee table. Talk about a fun night. If you'd like to never lose your TV remote again, it might be time to find a solution, and a remote control holder might be all that it takes.

Amazon sells XYOFUN's magnetic remote control holder, which is designed to be wall-mounted. For about $9.69, you can get a pack of four and avoid losing your remote ever again. Each holder comes with two small plastic pieces — one for the wall and the other for the remote – that magnetically snap together. They each also have an adhesive backing that you use to attach the system to the wall. You can get the holders in black, white, and some colorful combinations like green and pink.

The benefit of using this instead of a true remote organizer is that it doesn't add any visual clutter to your interior. Unlike a remote organizer that would sit on the coffee table, this only uses wall space. And while some wall shelves designed to hold remotes are bulky, this solution conceals itself neatly behind the remote. From afar, it will look like the remote is simply floating on the wall. And when the remote is off its stand and in use, the only thing that's visible on the surface is the small magnetic stand, which measures just about 1 inch by 1.7 inches.

How to store TV remotes with a magnetic stand

The easiest way to use this remote holder is to place it on a wall near your couch or bed. This will ensure that the remote is always within reach and that you can grab it, use it, and replace it mid-show as needed. The only downside is that it makes the remotes more visible, since they're literally attached to the wall.

If you're style-conscious and would prefer to keep your walls for decor, this type of magnetic holder can still be useful with some tweaks. One option is to attach the magnetic base to the side of the TV or the back of it if there's enough space. Another alternative is to attach the base under the tabletop of your coffee table. This reduces visible clutter while helping you stay organized. You can also do this with the side of a coffee table or a media unit. These are sleek and minimalist options that let you hide your TV remote away when it's not in use.

The manufacturer says the magnets are strong, so hanging a remote under a table shouldn't be an issue. Still, if you've got an especially large or heavy remote and worry about the magnet holding it, you can always use two magnets instead of one. However, you do need about an inch of flat space at the back of the remote to attach the adhesive. If you have a curved TV remote with absolutely no flat section on the back, this solution might not work for you.
