If you're an avid home cook, the prospect of having fresh herbs at your disposal whenever you want is a dream. While there are plenty of herbs that grow successfully indoors, it's still a bit tricky to pull off if you don't have a green thumb — especially if your home doesn't receive a lot of natural light. Luckily, there's an easier way to grow your own herbs. The Click & Grow Indoor Herb Garden Kit is an excellent tool to lean on if you don't have a lot of light or space to work with.

This smart garden features energy-efficient LED lights and a sleek, compact design. This device comes in white, gray, and sage green. It can easily fit in any little corner of your home. Place it directly on your kitchen counter, in your mudroom, or even in a hallway — all you need is access to a plug. The Click & Grow is a super beginner-friendly avenue to access easy-to-grow herbs. All you need to do is insert the plant pods into the device and watch as your herbs flourish. This kit has a 3 pod capacity and comes with basil plant pods. Click & Grow offers 50 pre-seeded plant pod options of all the best indoor herbs, so choose from options such as cilantro, lavender, thyme, and even strawberries or chili peppers. You can also use a seed-less soil pod, so you have the flexibility to grow anything you want.

How to use your Click & Grow Indoor Herb Garden Kit

To use your Click & Grow Indoor Herb Garden Kit, remove the clear domes from the grow pod slots. Now remove the growing cavities and take off their U-shaped lids. Once the growing station is disassembled, remove the pre-seeded plant pods from their wrapper and place them into the growing cavities. Click the cavities back into place and set the clear domes on top. Now fill up the Click & Grow water basin. There's a float indicator inside the basin that will sit level with the rest of the device when the water level is where it needs to be. Plug in the device and the automatic grow light system will kick on. They will stay on for 16 hours and turn off for 8. It's best to plug in your device in the morning so it will turn off in the evening.

You should see sprouts in the coming days or weeks depending on how fast the plants germinate. You can remove the plastic dome once your seedlings are close to the top. As your plants grow, you can attach the included extension arm to accommodate for their height. Once they grow large enough, you can transplant them into an actual pot for your windowsill or even in your outdoor garden bed.

As you work with your Click & Grow, you may notice mold or algae on the soil or device. This is often an indication of ideal growing conditions and nothing to worry about. However, it can be unsightly. To prevent this, you can cover the soil in a layer of cinnamon to prevent mold and algae growth. You can also gently wipe away the build-up with a damp cloth. The device is also machine washable.
