Note that to ensure the bench's seat lid closes properly, whatever you store should be able to lay flat or be shorter than 1 foot high.

As for the seat capacity, customer reviews note that it may or may not have enough space for two people to sit comfortably, with one customer noting that it could likely fit an adult and a small child.
