Walmart carries a wide variety of bird baths in different shapes, sizes, and styles. For example, in the tech category, there's the Birdfy Bath Pro ($399.99), a smart, solar-powered bird bath featuring a 1080P HD camera with AI bird recognition. The AI technology works along with the Birdfy app, which, according to the manufacturer, is capable of identifying over 6,000 birds.

The bird bath itself is made of ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) plastic and metal, and the camera holds an IP66 rating, which means its dust-tight and can withstand the wet conditions of the bath. A central fountain, meanwhile, allows you to reap the benefits of moving water in a bird bath. With the Birdfy bath's dual-lens camera, you can access live streams with audio and watch recordings via your smartphone.

The $399.99 price tag is for the Birdfy Bath Pro with no stand, while with a stand, it's $509.99. At the time of writing, both versions are on sale at Walmart: the Birdfy Bath Pro is $161.49, and with the stand, it's $299.99. The bird bath holds a 4.8-star rating (out of five stars) from over 380 customers. An impressive 92% give it five stars, while another 5% give it four. Three percent of buyers give the bird bath one or two stars, although one of the two-star reviewers actually say that they added to their first one: "I bought this years ago, and now we have two on our deck."

Of the five-star reviews, customers remark on the assembly being easy, the design, and the solar-powered fountain. Said one reviewer from July 2026, "One of my favorite features is the variety of fountain attachments ... It's been fun experimenting to see which ones bring in the most visitors."

The first thing to say is that the Birdfy Bath Pro is far from the only bird-related product that allows you to "watch" your garden's avian visitors. For example, you can buy bird houses with plastic viewing windows, which allow you to see inside. The issue with these is that you have to get up close to the unit, which in turn could put birds off from returning to the house. A bird bath with a camera, such as Birdfy's, allows you to watch from afar via your phone, which also means that any bird behavior you witness is more likely to be natural.

Similarly, while you can watch birds in your yard with a choice of smart feeders, not all birds enjoy the same food. Not only that, but not all species will feed from the same types of bird feeder. On the other hand, all birds like water. And since many species find moving water irresistible, having a fountain may increase your odds of attracting birds to your yard and garden, visits you can observe closely with a hidden camera.

With that said, most birds tend to prefer a bath at low height, since it mimics the puddles and streams that they'd use naturally.
