When you look at interior decor inspiration photos or architecture magazines, do you see any electrical cords? That's right, the best way to keep kitchen counters clutter-free is to tackle those annoying appliance wires. And in order to get rid of them, we often go to different baskets and bins, but that's not really aesthetically pleasing either. Instead, there's a space-saving alternative that help you say goodbye to cluttered kitchen countertops. 

It is the Aieve Cord Organizer, which sells for $8.99 on Amazon. It's a six-pack of little plastic tabs that you can attach to appliances, which allow you to wrap wires around them and snap them in place. That way, not only are wires wrapped and out of sight, but they also don't come undone unless you manually pull them out of the snap. Each pack comes with three white and three dark gray organizers and should work on most home appliances that everyone has. 

For example, use it with coffee machines, air fryers, blenders, rice cookers, and standing mixers. The idea is to use the adhesive to attach the organizer to the side or back of the appliances. By removing the awkward visual clutter of wires lingering on the counter, it lets you store more appliances on the counter in a stylish way. It also works great for the appliances that you keep in cabinets, making them more neat and freeing up some space that would otherwise be awkwardly taken by the messy cords. It also eliminates that annoying moment when you pull the mixer out of the cabinet and the cord gets stuck on the shelf or worse, falls onto your face.

While this is a clever hack, some of the reviews mention having difficulties with the adhesive not sticking properly. To avoid this, make sure to clean the appliance thoroughly beforehand, because things like cooking oils, general grime, and dust might prevent the adhesive from sticking. The adhesive part, which is nano tape, requires a completely clean surface to work. For this, you can just use a clean cloth and some rubbing alcohol to wipe the surface. Let it dry, and peel the protective layer over the adhesive. Then, apply firm and even pressure on the adhesive for at least 30 seconds, making sure the sticky side fully adheres to the appliance. Once you're done, do not wrap the wire onto the organizer yet. Instead, give the adhesive six hours or so to fully cure. If you messed up the application process or the adhesive doesn't stick to the appliance despite your best efforts, all is not lost. You can add some Command Strips for extra support.

Another thing that will make this organizer more long lasting is to place it on an evenly flat surface instead of a curved one. The pieces' adhesive only measures 1.16 inches wide and less than 4 inches long, so it's small. There's typically one spot on an appliance where it can fit, but it might be an issue with fully curved appliances like some rice cookers. If that's what you're dealing with, you can repurpose the organizers to neaten up your phone chargers by attaching them to the wall near an outlet or under your desk instead.
