The future may not have turned out the way the Jetsons promised, but we still got a few robotic luxuries to help around the house. One is the robot lawn mower, which saves precious weekend hours by cutting your grass for you. However, how you use it determines whether or not a robot lawn mower is worth the money. They leave grass mulch behind, and they're generally easily defeated by fallen leaves, especially wet ones. ANTHBOT's newest robot lawn mower, though, the N8, is a four-in-one lawn care machine that goes beyond mowing and offers a solution for autumn leaves. By switching between its two lawn care modes, users can either vacuum up leaves and mulched debris into the mower's 23-liter bag or leave them as tiny fragments to return nutrients to your yard.

Introduced on September 10, 2026, ANTHBOT N8 Robotic Lawn Mower retails for $1,699. It features a detachable deflector accessory that users swap in and out depending on whether the N8 is mowing and mulching (the Particle System) or bagging debris (the Cyclone System). It also self-empties while mulching and collecting leaf debris. It can empty its bag in a location you designate in the mower's app, then continue cleaning up leaves. This feature saves you from hours of raking.

Leaving leaves in your yard can sometimes be a good thing. Brown leaves can be turned into garden mulch that adds nutrients to the soil and prevents weeds throughout your garden and yard. The key is to shred leaves into pieces small enough to slip between blades of grass. Otherwise, they'll pile up and cause mold or disease. Small pieces will also decompose faster, releasing nutrients back into the soil for healthier grass next year.

The usual process for leaving leaf mulch in your lawn requires raking them into manageable piles, then breaking them down with a mulching mower or specialized electric shredder. The ANTHBOT N8's Cyclone System is intended to be much more hands-off. As long as leaves aren't wet or piled into dense layers, this machine can help mulch them into tiny pieces and either distribute them in your lawn or bag them. Its resume-after-break feature and automatic dumping ability help ensure you don't have to babysit the device while it collects leaves. If you opt to use the N8's bagging feature, those lawn clippings can be repurposed for a healthier yard and garden. Mix them into the soil for extra nutrients, or leave them on top as insulation for your garden beds.

Though this robot mower can make fall leaf cleanup a bit easier, it may not make it faster. The N8 takes about 80 minutes to recharge after a mowing session. It's also important to note that it needs quite a bit of space to move in and out of its charging station.
