The 3 Best Dollar Tree Home & Garden Finds Of 2026

Add House Digest on Google:

Everyone likes to save money, and discount stores like Dollar Tree can really help household budgets with their large assortment of inexpensive items. I'm a huge fan of Dollar Tree and frequently look for seasonal specials, especially garden items that I use for my work as a professional gardener. I also use many household products I find at Dollar Tree, from seasonal decor to cleaning supplies to snacks. These three picks are my favorite finds from Dollar Tree for 2026.

Many shoppers like Dollar Tree for its fun seasonal picks, including summer home and garden items like colorful picnic supplies. The holiday items are also fun to explore, with a great selection of containers, candles, craft kits, decorations, and party items. But for me, some of my favorite finds are everyday useful items that I can rely on for quality and consistent performance. And at the unbeatable Dollar Tree prices, this means my money goes further when purchasing things I need.

Although Dollar Tree was once famous for being one of the last "dollar stores" where everything actually cost a dollar, they have raised their prices slightly in recent years. Still, many products cost well under two dollars each, and that's still a considerable bargain. Anywhere I can save a buck or two on useful products like kitchen supplies, cleaning products, craft materials, garden tools, or holiday goods is a place I'll visit often to find new bargains.

Hammered glass decanters

These colored Glass Bottles With Stoppers are beautiful and have so many uses. They can hold liqueurs, cocktails, or other beverages for a party or social gathering. Or fill them with lemonade or juice drinks. The plastic around the base of the stopper creates a seal that can help keep insects out during an outdoor barbecue.

You can also use these decanters to add color and class to your windowsill in the kitchen or bathroom. In the kitchen, display them as is, or fill them with decorative materials to create colorful accents for your countertops. In the bathroom, they can look just as special as higher-priced thrift store glassware, and can hold bath salts, bubble bath, or cotton balls.

These bottles can also be the base for an array of craft projects. Adding glue and glitter can make attractive holiday decor, especially when the bottles are displayed alongside candles or LED lights. At $1.50, these are a steal, and the assorted colors (dusty rose, seafoam green, light purple, and clear) offer lots of creative possibilities.

Plastic plant labels

Gardeners are often pretty good at identifying plants, but even we professionals could use some help sometimes. These Garden Collection Plastic Plant Labels are great for keeping things organized. Use a Sharpie or other permanent marker to write on them, and they can even be saved and used for the following season. I find them very useful when planning a container garden of vegetables, so I can keep track of the different varieties and their watering and care needs before transplanting.

These labels sell for $1.50 for a package of 10, and you'll probably want to get extra to make sure  you have enough on hand. If you plant herbs in pots and give them as gifts, these are nice to make personalized labels. For an herb garden with multiple varieties planted in one area, such labels are indispensable for telling the difference between similar-looking plants like flat-leaf parsley and cilantro.

I also find these labels very handy when I am planning to divide perennials. Once blooming season ends for many perennials, such as German irises, peonies, or daylilies, it can be tricky to remember which varieties are planted where. Placing a small sign with the variety (if you know it) or even shorthand like "tall purple" or "short yellow" while the flowers are in bloom can be a real help later in the season when dividing and replanting in the garden.

Dawn Ultra dish soap

Dawn Ultra Dishwashing Liquid is a favorite home product for many shoppers, and is often ranked high on lists of the best dish detergents. This is one of those items where you get what you pay for, as Dawn products usually cost a bit more than some competing brands. But at Dollar Tree, you can get the 7.5-ounce bottle of Dawn Ultra for only $1.50, which is a significant savings.

I think many folks would agree that Dawn Ultra dish soap is one of the best cleaning products on the market. Not only is it great for cleaning dishes and cutting grease better than any other dish soap out there (in my experience), but it also has plenty of other uses. For example, I often use it to spot-treat stains on clothing before adding them to the washing machine. In my work as a professional gardener, my jeans and shirts can get pretty muddy, and pretreating them with Dawn Ultra gets these stains out very effectively. Bonus: it doesn't leave an overpowering scent like so many other pre-wash stain treatments.

Dawn is also a great household cleaner, especially mixed with water and a bit of white vinegar for washing down walls, cleaning kitchen cabinets, or appliances. It's also great for hand-washing vinyl and cloth gardening gloves (which sometimes get mangled in the washing machine). Just wash them in the sink or a washtub, rinse well, and hang them to dry with clothespins or lay them in the sun.
