Staying warm during frigid months isn't always as easy as flipping your heater on. For older homes or systems with outdated central heating, the temperature may fluctuate significantly from one room to the next, leading you to need to track down another source of warmth. Fortunately, there are a plethora of space heaters available, and Amazon has one in particular with serious vintage vibes that is worth checking out: the Vornado VHEAT Vintage Metal Space Heater.

Retailing for $169.99, the Vornado VHEAT Vintage Metal Space Heater is a compact space heater that comes with a number of features. It has two settings — low and high — to deliver whichever level of heat you need at a given moment. It is also designed to be sturdy and resistant to tipping, and the brand states that the narrow grill slots help prevent finger injuries. The included 2-stage auto-shutoff kicks into action if the product senses too much heat. The heater's head has a 47-degree pivot range, which can be useful depending on where you need the heat aimed. Finally, it comes in three color options: green, gunmetal, and vintage white, depending on what your stylistic preferences are.

At the time of writing, customers had given this product a 3.8-star average from over 900 reviews. Buyers appreciate the heater's appearance, as well as its sturdy design. One five-star reviewer on Amazon writes, "This thing heats up a room like no other heater I've ever had. It heats the room up fast but never seems to get overly hot like many others I've used. It seems to maintain a nice consistent temperature in the room which keeps it nice and comfortable."

Individuals who love the visual characteristics of a bygone era may instantly be drawn to the Vornado VHEAT Vintage Metal Space Heater thanks to its design, which the company says was inspired by a 1945 Vornadofan. Standalone space heaters from the past century would often feature a round form with a sizable metal collar around the head, similar to this modern-day Vornado model. Additionally, the color scheme on this product — green and gold in particular — pays homage to midcentury color pairings.

While older models might have offered warmth and style, they could also pose safety issues in a modern home, making the Vornado VHEAT a welcome addition for anyone who needs to crank up the heat. Nevertheless, remember to avoid common mistakes when using a space heater. If you like the look of this product, it can fit seamlessly into most homes. Interior spaces that have midcentury, antique, or vintage design themes can accommodate the heater in a bedroom, study, or even living room to keep your home warmer during winter months. For these rooms, the green and gold model may be worth choosing. Homes that lean more towards modern decor styles may benefit more from the white or gunmetal style, since they offer a more versatile appearance. Finally, in the event of a malfunction, Vornado offers replacement for up to five years, so maintaining proof of purchase is the best way to protect your investment.
