Before He Married Emily Blunt, John Krasinski Lived In A Surprisingly Modest Home

Well known for his role as the lovable and sarcastic Jim Halpert on the hit series "The Office," John Krasinski has become a mainstay in the Hollywood scene since the show aired its last episode back in 2013. Since then, he has been busy lending his voice to animated films like "Monsters University," "The Prophet," and "Animal Crackers," and is set to voice the legendary superhero, Superman, in the upcoming film "Super Pets" that also stars Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, according to IMDb.

Krasinski has also diversified his talents as he stepped behind the camera to direct, write, and star in the post-apocalyptic thrillers "A Quiet Place" and "A Quiet Place II," which also feature his Golden Globe-winning wife, Emily Blunt. The successful couple has stunning properties in both New York and London. According to The Wall Street Journal, Krasinski and Blunt purchased an entire floor in the Brooklyn Heights posh condo, The Standish, for $11 million back in 2019. They also have been living across the pond in London, England, since 2020, per Hello!. Although he is a celebrity in his own right now, back in the early days of acting on "The Office," Krasinski wasn't exactly enjoying the luxuries of the international property market. Instead, he was living in a fairly modest home in Los Angeles.

Krasinski's early career West Hollywood home

Although John Krasinski wasn't exactly living in shambles when he first landed his breakout role on "The Office" back in 2005, it certainly wasn't acres of land with bedrooms and bathrooms galore. Instead, he was laying his head in a 1926 bungalow in West Hollywood that he purchased for just over $1 million in 2006 and later sold the property for $880,000, according to Forbes.

The two-bedroom, two-bathroom single-family home sits on 4,308 square feet of land and is located right near the Sunset Strip and Beverley Hills in sunny California. The humble home is beautifully surrounded by lush greenery and even had some growing on the front door, giving it an almost country cottage-like look. Complete with a large kitchen, and private dining area, the home also features a brightly-lit den that would've been ideal for the actor to read over scripts or relax with a good book. The listing on Zillow also describes the home as an "oasis in the city," which Krasinski surely enjoyed while he was laying the early foundation of what has already become an impressive career.
