The Price On This Saudi Billionaire's Mansion Has Plummeted By $24 Million
The asking price of the former England estate of billionaire couple Sheikh Walid Juffali and Christina Estrada has dropped substantially. According to Vanity Fair, the couple first met in 2000 when Juffali was married to someone else. However, he quickly divorced his former wife to wed Estrada. The two then got married and had a daughter together. However, in 2014, Juffali divorced Estrada without her knowledge due to Islamic law. It was later discovered that he had wed another model two years prior to his and Estrada's divorce and proceeded to have two children with her during this time as well.
As you might have guessed, the divorce proceedings between Juffali and Estrada became a messy process. Originally, Estrada asked for £238 million in the divorce settlement from her now late ex-husband as she claimed he was worth £8 billion. However, while she did not receive this large sum, she did receive a hefty amount. She was awarded a £75 million settlement along with a £53 million cash payment and £20 million of her own personal property. Now, the home they once shared is on the market, with the price slowly dropping lower and lower.
The estate's extravagant interior
Originally, this home first hit the market in 2018 for an asking price of $65.5 million. However, in 2022, the estate went back onto the market for $42 million, per New York Post. Roughly this large estate sits at around 33,000 square feet in size and resides in England. The interior consists of 12 bedrooms and 12 bathrooms, among many other notable rooms. The home is known to have gone all the way back to the early 20th century, while the land itself goes back to the 13th century.
The interior of this home is nothing short of spacious. Each room is large in size and is decorated down to every minor detail. One sitting room is decorated with Chinese design featuring red walls, a massive chandelier, and simple gray couches, among many other furniture and decor. The dining room is enormous in size and can seat a family of 12 at each of its two tables.
