A Look Inside The Gorgeous NYC Condo Janet Jackson Is Selling For $9 Million
Janet Jackson is selling her three-bedroom, three-and-a-half bathroom residence at 1 Central Park West in New York City for $8,995,000 million, according to Sotheby's. The most spectacular feature about the Queen of Pop's home is its amazing 34th floor location, and panoramic view of Central Park and the famous New York City skyline. Floor to ceiling windows frame magnificent views from every room of the 2,094 square foot unit. Jackson purchased the condo 25 years ago for $2.8 million, per Mansion Global, but according to a spokesperson, hasn't been in the building since 2019.
The elegant building was built in 1996, and is part of the Trump International Hotel and Tower complex located at the southwest corner of Central Park, just off of Columbus Circle. The first 17 floors of the 52-story building house the hotel, per Corcoran. The upper portion of the building, known as the Tower, is comprised of 166 luxurious condominium units. The Tower offers residents the level of service and amenities one would expect for the price tag including a full-time doorman, housekeeping, and concierge services, as well as room service from the Jean-Georges Vongerichten's eponymous restaurant in the hotel.

You enter the residence through a gallery-style foyer, but as soon as you turn the corner, you are awestruck by the magnificent views inside and out, and the natural light flooding the open plan living room and dining area. The compact kitchen has a simple decor with black walls and countertops, white tile floors, and sleek white cabinetry with some glass-faced upper cabinets and clear knobs.

The primary bedroom suite is truly a dream, according to Sotheby's. It's tucked away at the far end of the residence and features a walk-in closet and two other large closets. It might not provide enough storage for the pop star but should do for some residents. The marble bathroom has a double-sink vanity and a separate shower and tub. You can enjoy the sunrise over the park from this relaxing setting.
The building provides residents with access to a state-of-the-art gym, swimming pool, and luxurious spa.
