Experience

Carrie began her career as a pediatric oncology nurse before earning her master's degree in public health. When she became a mom in 2012, she made the transition to freelance writing to be able to work while staying home with her family. Carrie is a health, food, and lifestyle writer with experience in medical writing and recipe development. She uses her background as a nurse to communicate complex topics in a compassionate voice. Her writing has been featured in Taste of Home, Health, Reader's Digest, and Working Mother. When she's not writing, Carrie can be found walking in her weighted vest to her favorite place on the planet: Lake Michigan.

Education

Carrie holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Marquette University and a master's degree in public health from the Medical College of Wisconsin.
