Ella Roisin Scott

• At 16, Ella became an art consultant for the Thomas Kinkade Galleries. At 20, she acquired The Catalina Island Gallery in Avalon, California, where she sold high-end home decor from 2002 to 2010, helping her establish a hands-on foundation in interior design.
• In 2012, Ella served vulnerable populations in United Nations Relief Works Agency hospitals in Amman, Jordan, where she discovered that too many preventable health issues could be improved through better housekeeping, sparking her passion for helping others learn more about deep cleaning practices.
• While attending university in 2010, Ella began writing screenplays and plays for the stage, some of which gained notoriety, including "Hotshot," which won Best Historical Drama at the Monaco Film Festival in 2015. She uses her storytelling skills to keep readers engaged, even when writing about kitchen cabinets.

Experience

From 1999 to 2010, Ella worked in the art world, representing global brands such as Lightpost Publishing and Disney Fine Art. During that time, she designed exhibits for major art expos and consumers alike, deepening her understanding of design and decor. From 2021 to 2024, Ella wrote for BestReviews, evaluating consumer products for nationwide news platforms, including the Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, and KTLA, strengthening her passion for discussing home and garden products and trends. She also wrote for American Family Insurance from 2023 to 2025, covering a variety of topics within the home, renters, and auto insurance spaces. During her tenure with American Family Insurance, Ella wrote highly regulated insurance articles to help homeowners prevent damage to their homes and properties. She also wrote articles offering home improvement and landscaping advice, all of which has helped her deliver risk-averse, sustainable advice in home and real estate articles.

Education

Ella holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in digital media and screenwriting from Antioch University. She studied theatre and dance and taught neuroscience as an undergraduate at the University of California, San Diego, earning her bachelor's degree. She also conducted clinical research with the UNRWA while pursuing graduate-level studies in epidemiology and global health.
