- After moving to four different locations around Europe in pursuit of her education and career, Francisca mastered the functional and aesthetic essentials that make any place feel like home.
- Growing up an architect's daughter, she spent most of her free time in her mom's studio, developing a fascination for building materials and styles that has inspired her ever since.
- Her biggest design challenge came when she furnished her first apartment entirely with hand-me-downs and family heirlooms, giving them a new life and finding harmony where there was none.
Experience
Francisca has been writing professionally for over three years, contributing to publications in both Portuguese and English. She called We Got This Covered her home for most of that time, writing about a wide range of topics from film and television to TikTok, the Royal Family, and Taylor Swift. She became an editor in 2024. In a quest to branch out and challenge herself, Francisca joined Static Media and the House Digest team in 2025, where she explores her passion for interior design and home maintenance. In truth, though, she's been a writer her whole life and will never forget the day she was first paid to do it.
Education
Francisca has a bachelor's degree in communication sciences from NOVA University in Lisbon, which included an exchange program in Spain's UC3M. She then moved to the U.K. to pursue a master's degree in film studies at Oxford Brookes University.
