Experience

Jennifer has written numerous technical guides, how-to guides, and planning documents throughout her twenty-year career with local and state planning and environmental agencies. Jennifer enjoys bringing her knowledge of sustainable living to low-cost and practical endeavors in her own home and garden. Her projects have included building a predator-proof chicken coop made of upcycled materials and creating a pollinator-friendly rainwater garden filled with native plants. She enjoys sharing ideas for eco-friendly living with House Digest readers.

Education

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz and two master's degrees from the University of Michigan, a Master of Science and a Master of Urban Planning.
