Keena is a writer and journalist with over a decade of professional experience. Her career in journalism began in local newsrooms and radio, where she learned how to report with accuracy and intention. She's written on every topic imaginable, from highlighting pocket equality in women's vs. men's apparel to exploring the dire humanitarian aid needed for Afghan women post-2023 earthquake. Since starting her freelance writing career, she finds the most joy writing on all things home and lifestyle. Her work has been featured in numerous outlets, including the BBC, HGTV Canada, The Globe and Mail, and the CBC. When she's not writing, she channels her creative energy into crocheting, making candles that look like food, and taking care of foster dogs from time to time—hobbies that help manifest the passion she brings into her work.
Education
Keena holds a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Toronto and a master's degree in journalism and communication from the University of Western Ontario.
