  • Kristy is a freelance content writer with a focus in arts, culture, vintage/antiques, and home design.
  • A long time thrifter and collector of vintage items, she boasts unusual obsessions with mid-century dishware, luggage/handbags, Victorian ephemera, and old office chairs.
  • In creative endeavors, Kristy has published several poetry collections, chapbooks, artist books, and zines through traditional publishers and DIY, including the recent SEX & VIOLENCE (Black Lawrence Press, 2020).

A writer and book artist, Kristy currently makes a living writing about art, culture, vintage/antiques, and home décor for a smattering of publications, as well as penning online learning lesson content in the fields of literature, art, architecture, and history. Since 2004, she has run a tiny indie press and design studio, dancing girl press, which sells books, art, paper goods, and accessories. She blogs about writing, art, and assorted miscellany at dulcetly: notes on a bookish life.

Kristy has an MFA in Creative Writing from Columbia College, an M.A. in English Literature from DePaul University, and an undergrad degree in English and Theater from Rockford University.
