  • She's deeply involved with choral singing, and particularly enjoys dressing in medieval garb as part of the Solstice Singers' revels-style concerts in Woods Hole, Massachusetts

Experience

As senior writer for The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, Lisa discovered the fun of digging into science, creating interactive learning experiences, and crafting engaging exhibit labels. Soon, she was freelancing for nonprofits throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond, writing articles and books for hire. In 2006, with a son newly diagnosed with autism, Lisa penned twice-weekly blogs about autism-related topics for About.com, "Guide to Autism." This was her introduction to writing for the web, and over time, Lisa's role expanded to include serving as an expert contributor for Verywell Health, as well as covering home and gardening topics for U.S. News & World Report, Treehugger, and ConsumerAffairs.

Education

Lisa earned a bachelor's degree with honors in the humanities from Wesleyan University and a master's degree from Harvard Divinity School. She holds a certificate in instructional technology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.
