  • Lorri is an award-winning reporter who earned 1st place, for short features, and 2nd place, for spot news, in the Texas Associated Press Managing Editors contest.
  • She covered the City of Dallas' efforts to halt the demolition of the famous architect Roscoe DeWitt's historic Modernist-style home for Neiman Marcus founder Stanley Marcus, who fired Frank Lloyd Wright, the original architect for the house, halfway through the project.
  • She's also written about high-style, custom-made furniture designs for a private label owned by a furniture business that maintained a 1,000-acre mahogany tree plantation in El Salvador, from which it sourced the wood for its designs.

Lorri is an award-winning reporter and writer with more than 20 years of experience writing for print and digital publications. In addition to her background writing for newspapers and magazines, she's also an experienced copy editor and advertising copywriter. Publications she's written for include The Dallas Morning News, the Dallas Observer, Plano Star Courier, The Lake Oswego Review, and ScreenRant.

Education

Lorri has a master's degree in public affairs from the University of Texas at Dallas' School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences, and a bachelor's degree in government and politics, also from UT-Dallas.
