  • For two years, R. A. Fletcher and her family lived off-grid while renovating an old RV for tiny living.
  • She spent five years living and working on a self-sustaining homestead farm in Wisconsin, where she cared for animals and honed her gardening skills, caring for three flower gardens, a greenhouse, a miniature orchard with apple and plum trees, a range of different vegetable gardens, and an alfalfa field.
  • In addition to her time spent researching and writing about all things home and garden related, she also launched her first online company, Phoenix Publishing, in February 2024 and published her first book, "The Memoir of a Sinner," on Amazon in December 2025.

R. A. Fletcher has been writing professionally for over a decade. When she started writing for House Digest in July 2025, she was quickly drawn to gardening content, renovation trends, and DIY how-tos. She has collaborated with agencies and private clients to publish articles and research reports. She was a full-time writer and editor for Diib, Inc., Good Rep Media, and Wonder and wrote expert content for online publications such as the Get Your Guide and eClean Advanced Fabricare. In addition, she spent five years working on a hobby farm, doing DIY home projects and renovations, and gardening to support a homestead.

Education

R. A. Fletcher has an associate degree in business from Riverland Community College and a bachelor's degree in graphic design and media arts from Southern New Hampshire University.
