  • Ron is a freelance writer (and occasional inadvertent handyman and farmhand) who lives in Maxeys, GA, with a population of about 260.
  • He has worked in media and publishing for over 20 years, and edited a successful regional print magazine for half of that time.
  • Drawing on long experience in the I.T. field, Ron brings some adventurous ideas about power control, microcontrollers, and automation to home building and renovation.

Ron sold his first article to a national computer magazine when he was about 15, in which he illustrated sprite development and game programming for Commodore personal computers. He was the News Editor for the University of South Carolina student newspaper, The Gamecock, then paused his writing career to work two decades all over the I.T. industry map. During that period, he also created and edited video and audio, recorded music, did some minor computer animation, and wrote more than a few scripts. When Ron returned to his first true love, writing, he took on the Managing Editor role at Gwinnett Magazine. He and his wife, Teresa, built their home almost entirely themselves. He is currently designing a backyard video and music recording studio.

Ron studied English at Furman University and journalism at the University of South Carolina.
