Experience

Sam has worked as a professional writer, editor, and multimedia journalist for more than seven years. Their work has appeared in dozens of print and digital publications, including Them, Apartment Therapy, and Hunker Home, to name just a few. (Fun fact: They also moonlight as a consulting astrologer and have penned horoscopes for popular astrology apps like STAR/CHILD.) Prior to going freelance full-time in 2022, Sam was an associate editor at Logo News, Paramount Global's now-defunct online LGBTQ+ magazine, where they interviewed multiple celebrities and even won a GLAAD Media Award for a video series they co-produced. They are a graduate of the American Society of Magazine Editors' prestigious summer journalism intensive for rising college seniors, which helped launch their journalism career.

Sam holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from the Honors College at SUNY New Paltz.
