How Your Shower Can Make Clothes Wrinkle Free Without Lifting A Finger

Ironing your clothes might not be the most enjoyable task, but it's a necessary one — you don't want to step outside your house wearing wrinkled items. However, you might not always have the luxury of time to fit in a proper ironing session. But what if you could banish wrinkles from your clothing without lifting a finger? It might sound like an odd idea, but if you simply take your garments to the bathroom, they'll be wrinkle-free in the time it takes for a quick shower.

The steam from the hot water will take care of the creases, and you'll have wrinkle-free clothing without much effort at all. This hack is not only practically free but also saves you precious time. Further, it helps you avoid the tedious task of setting up the iron and ironing board to make your clothes look presentable. However, keep in mind that this works best on minor creases and won't be of much help if you want to get rid of more stubborn wrinkles.

Steam your clothes in the shower to remove wrinkles in a pinch

To get rid of wrinkles without an iron, place the creased item on a hanger and put it on the shower rod as far away as possible from the showerhead to prevent it from getting wet. Alternatively, you can place the hanger on the hook nearest to the shower. Once you've got the cloth situated, close all the doors and windows. You should also shut off the exhaust fan, if you've got one in your bathroom, to prevent any heat from escaping.

Then, turn the shower on and run the water as hot as possible. Remember, the higher the heat setting, the better job the steam will do of smoothing out the wrinkles in your clothing. Let the steam work its magic for about 10 to 20 minutes. The hot and humid environment will relax the fabric's polymer bonds, forcing wrinkles out of the cloth. If possible, smooth out the wrinkled garment and give it an occasional tug to remove the creases quickly.

Bear in mind, though, that while this hack works wonders in a pinch, it's best suited for non-cotton garments and won't be nearly as effective on other garments.
