TikTok's Treat Jar Decor Hack Is A Brilliant Trick Of The Eye

That's why we're of the humble (but surely totally correct) opinion that having a candy jar at home is a great way to keep your favorite type of sweet treats close at hand. However, there are a couple reasons why you may not want to fill an entire jar full of candy. Perhaps you want make sure that you always have a fresh supply, or maybe you desire to switch up the type of treats often. Whatever the reason, if you want the jar to appear full without having to buy loads of candy, then you may want to create a trick of the eye with a clever hack. Basically, you'll just place a smaller container inside your jar to take up some of the space, making it look like you have much more candy than you actually do.
To take advantage of this handy hack, all you need is a medium-to-large jar that's made out of clear glass or plastic. You'll also want a second jar or bowl that's a bit smaller than the first. If you don't have one that works, a cup, mug, or any small dish should work. Of course, you also need some jelly beans, gumballs, chocolate-covered almonds, or another kind of treat. That's all you need to create an ideal candy-related illusion that you can display on your organized kitchen counter.
Use a smaller dish in your treat jar to take up space

All you need to do is head to your kitchen to find a bowl, cup, or dish that's not as large as your candy jar. Once you have what you need, take the smaller dish and place it upside down inside your treat jar. Make sure that the inside dish is set in the center of the jar. Next, add the candy so that it fills the space around the dish and fully covers it on top.
As you do this, you'll notice that the candy covers the inner dish so that it can't be seen. This makes it look like there's much more candy than there actually is, thanks to the fact that the dish takes up so much room that would otherwise need to be filled with treats. Filling your candy jar in this way looks much better than simply creating a thin layer at the bottom of the jar. This is a great hack to use when organizing the pantry, as it will make all your jars appear more aesthetically-pleasing.
