When redoing your kitchen, installing new countertops is frequently part of the work. Quartz is a popular material since it's extremely durable and available in many colors and patterns. Quartz doesn't have pits, is non-porous, and the smooth surface doesn't give bacteria a place to thrive. This factor makes quartz easy to care for and clean. Most days, you can simply wipe it down with some basic dish soap and water to keep it maintained. When you've spent time and money on a stunning quartz countertop color for a kitchen renovation, though, perform a thorough cleaning on the surface every few days to keep it looking its best.

When you see food stains or grimy residue, use a cleaning solution that doesn't contain abrasives to avoid making the quartz surface dull. If you notice rust and grease spots, you almost certainly need a stronger cleaning product compared to dish soap and water. If you're ever unsure whether a product or chemical is safe to use with your quartz countertop, check with the manufacturer or supplier for a list of common cleaning agents that can damage quartz. To further help you avoid quartz countertop cleaning mistakes, we looked at reviews of many quartz-cleaning products to find brands that give most customers excellent results.

Rock Doctor has a low-odor formula

The Rock Doctor granite and quartz cleaner ($21 for two 18-ounce spray cans) is one of the highest-rated quartz-cleaning products among Amazon customers, carrying a 4.8-star rating out of five. It uses a non-abrasive and non-acidic formula to avoid damaging the finish of the quartz while delivering streak-free results. Reviewers say it's also extremely easy to use: Just spray it on, leave it in place for a minute or two, and wipe it away with a soft cloth.

YouTube reviewer Neal's Reviews & Unboxing received a recommendation to try the Rock Doctor product, and his tests generated impressive results: "I had no idea how I cleaned the quartz before... But now it's nice and clean and pristine and white, and so it's great. This is the best stuff." On Amazon, only 2% of reviewers gave the Rock Doctor cleaner a one- or two-star review. Several positive reviews mention the scented formula as a significant advantage of this product. It's "the only cleaner that works on my old quartz countertops (that tend to film up with other cleaners)," one Amazon reviewer says. "Smells great, which is always a plus for me." If you have black or dark-colored quartz, reviewers say the streak-free Rock Doctor formula doesn't leave cloudy film behind that's visible against the dark background.

Weiman has a light citrus odor and powerful stain-busting capabilities

The Weiman quartz and stone countertop cleaner ($20 for two 18-ounce spray bottles) has an impressive 4.6-star rating on Amazon. It's ability to remove stubborn stains impressed several reviewers, with one TikToker showcasing this by spraying the cleaner over a stain, giving it time to soak in, and easily wiping up the remaining residue. An Amazon reviewer agreed that the Weiman cleaner is highly effective, even on white countertops: "We have solid white quartz counters, and EVERYTHING [sic] shows. Apparently, my coffee ring stains were getting to my spouse, so I bought this. It took away the ring — with some elbow grease." Another Amazon reviewer says it's "expensive but worth every penny" because it "always leaves our countertops clean and shiny."

Several reviewers mention the light, pleasant citrus odor of the Weiman product, compared to the harsh odor or chemical smell of other cleaners. And, although most indoor quartz countertops don't fade, it still includes anti-fade protection to ensure sunlight passing through any windows for extended periods (if you have a lot of windows in your kitchen) doesn't dull them.

Stone Care International avoids yellowing quartz countertops

Another quartz countertop cleaner with a 4.6-star rating on Amazon is the Stone Care International quartz cleaner and polish ($22 for two 24-ounce spray bottles). It provides ultraviolet fade protection for the resins in quartz that could yellow or fade as the material ages. Although high-quality quartz countertops shouldn't yellow over time, lower-quality resins and white quartz countertops can yellow over time and discolor more easily than others. Proper maintenance and care can prevent yellowing, and applying the Stone Care International formula regularly helps care for the resins. "This is my second purchase after testing to see how well the product cleans and prevents yellowing," one Amazon reviewer said. "This passes the test and it smells nice!"

Some reviewers like the versatility they receive from this cleaner since it works on many stone countertop materials, including quartz, granite, marble, travertine, and onyx. One Amazon reviewer appreciated the longterm benefits of regularly using the Stone Care International cleaner: "I recommend it to everyone! Especially if you have quartz countertops. It is the BEST [sic] cleaner and polisher I have found by far! I have three small kiddos and I swear by this stuff!"

MB Stone Care is versatile and great for cleaning hard surfaces

For homeowners with multiple hard surfaces that need cleaning, inside the kitchen and elsewhere, one of the most popular choices is the MB Stone Care Stone Glow hard surface cleaner ($20 for one 32-ounce spray bottle). It's able to provide protection for several delicate surfaces — including quartz, natural stone, glass, and wood – because of its neutral pH formula.

"Love how my quartz looks after using the MB-15. Great product," says one MB Stone Care reviewer. Others appreciate its non-toxic formula that biodegrades in the environment. In a YouTube review, Granite Care Pro lists several cleaning options for countertops, but calls MB Stone Care the best option for quartz: "My favorite cleaner for quartz is MB-15 Stone Glow. Stone Glow has optical brighteners, which is especially helpful for dark quartz." The brighteners in the formula help refresh the finish of the surface of dark-colored countertops, giving them a like-new appearance.

Norwex is popular for reviewers who prefer a cream to a spray

If you don't feel like you can successfully clean your quartz countertops with spray cleaners, check out the cream-based Norwex Cream Cleaner ($25 for a 4-ounce tube). In addition to quartz countertops, Norwex says you can also use this all-around cleaning product on pots and pans, grout, and even car tires. It uses plant- and enzyme-powered cleaning formulas to give you a safe option for cleaning your quartz countertops.

A YouTube reviewer, Megan Slate, had success removing a stubborn stain on a quartz countertop by using a small dab of the Norwex Cream Cleaner on a microfiber scrubbing cloth and rubbing the cream into the stain vigorously. They added that the Norwex formula is a safe cleaner for quartz and other kinds of countertops.
