DIY Dramatic Pampas Grass Wall Decor With A Simple Flower Tool

If you're looking to add a bit of boho-chic flair to your home but aren't sure how, look no further. This pampas grass wall decor is the statement piece that you need, and it's so easy to make, no one will ever believe it was a DIY. Using a simple floral foam cage, pampas grass, and fake florals, you can create a dramatic arrangement to elevate any wall.

While the end result of this project looks fancy and high-end, you don't need any advanced DIY skills to do it. In terms of supplies, you'll need a floral foam cage from Mwellewm, which costs just $19.99 for a set of two. You'll also need seven packs of faux pampas grass from Zifty for around $70 in total and a Senseya artificial flowers combo for $18.98. Or you could shop around for a pack of faux flowers that suits your style. Finally, you'll need some simple nails and a hammer to secure the arrangement on the wall.

While there are a few reasons why planting pampas grass in your yard can be a huge mistake, displaying it indoors is a great way to decorate your home with a bohemian style and bring an earthy vibe to your decor.

How to DIY a pampas grass wall decor piece

To do this hack, start by attaching the floral foam cage to your wall using two nails, a hammer, and the pre-made holes in the plastic frame. Of course, no need to wet the floral foam, since no real flowers will be poked into it. You'll need at least 20 inches of clearance all around the floral foam cage, so make sure to pick a spot that's not too close to a wall, ceiling, or other decor pieces. Because this piece is dramatic and bold, it's best to choose a central spot, like the center of a wall or above a sofa.

Once the floral foam is secured, poke all your strands of pampas grass around it to create a circle. Once done, you'll be left with a beautiful ring of pampas grass. Now, just poke the faux flowers into the front of the floral foam to hide the cage completely.

Like in the video, you can add some other decorations into the mix to create something truly unique. Metallic artificial leaves, for example, can help create dimension. Use a hot glue gun to attach small pieces that don't have a stem onto the floral foam. For example, some pieces from this Leobro set of burlap flowers and bows would fit nicely with the piece's boho aesthetic. You can even dry and style your favorite flowers at home and use them instead.
