The walls of your home offer another area in which you can incorporate nature too. Hanging nature-themed paintings and photography is one option. Another is with wallpaper. 

When you think of nature-themed wallpaper, you might picture the floral patterns of decades past. While hanging that type of wallpaper is certainly one way to incorporate nature into your home, there is a specific wallpaper style that can actually make your living room instantly feel like it's a serene garden. Applying trellis wallpaper to your home's interior walls brings the experience of a garden seating area right into your house.

Although this nature-inspired decor trend is a straightforward one, there are numerous ways to customize it. While your living room is the perfect place, it works well with other rooms in your home, as well. Because there are such a wide variety of trellis wallpapers available online, you should be able to find one that suits your style. If wallpapering doesn't appeal to you, there are ways to get the garden trellis look without wallpaper too.

Fortunately, trellis wallpaper is ridiculously easy to implement. All you need to do is figure out whether it will look good throughout a room, on a single accent wall, or as a lone panel to add a touch of depth and interest to a space. If you have brightly colored furniture or an already "busy" room, a full room of lattice-patterned walls might be overstimulating instead of relaxing. Another way to bring the garden trellis look into your home is to mount an actual trellis onto your wall or ceiling. To do this, you will need to secure battens (narrow strips of wood) to your wall using screws. The trellis will then be screwed into the battens. You can weave faux flowers and vines through the trellis once it's in place. If you don't plan on adding any faux foliage, you can also secure the trellis directly to your wall. Just as with the wallpaper, a small section of trellis may be all that's required. Whichever option you choose for your new trellis wall, though, you're guaranteed to elevate the look of your home's interior.
