The designer also goes on to compare the TONSTAD to IKEA's popular MALM bed, calling it "the new, cooler version." While the MALM bed is similar in price, the TONSTAD bed frame has a bit more of an elegant profile and legs that keep it raised off the ground, giving it a more elevated look.
