All you need for this cute and convenient Dollar Tree storage hack is a cutting board, a basket, a drill, and a few zip ties.

Once you've finished making your new basket, place it on your bathroom counter for toiletries or washcloths, on your nightstand for phone chargers and miscellaneous items, or in your pantry for spice organization. One of the great things about this DIY is that by adding the cutting board as a lid, your Dollar Tree storage becomes stackable for better organization. Then, use a drill to make three evenly spaced holes near the edge of the cutting board. Be sure to use a drill bit that will accommodate the width of your zip ties. Also, take care not to drill so close to the edge of the cutting board that the drill bit breaks through the edge. 

When you've got your three holes made, place the cutting board on top of the basket, and thread a zip tie through each hole to secure the cutting board to the basket. Although the direction you thread the zip ties won't affect the cutting board lid's functionality, threading them through the inside of the basket will conceal the zip ties' locking heads. It's also important not to tighten your zip ties so much that the cutting board won't open and close easily. Once you're happy with the placement and tightness of the zip ties, cut off the ends.
