Selling for $9.99, it's 5 7/8 inches tall and 5 1/8 inches wide, and comes in a beige color, matching two other jars in the series. Other BRUGDHAJ models are dark blue or brown. This lidless wide-mouth utensil holder, like the rest of its BRUGGHAJ siblings, is stoneware, a type of clay-based ceramic whose sandy appearance resembles stone. It's more durable and less porous than earthenware, and a more affordable alternative to porcelain, making it a great fit for heavy-use items like kitchenware. 

Depending on the finish, stoneware can take on a more rustic or elegant style. In the case of the BRUGDHAJ piece, Canadian IKEA designer Francis Cayouette combined a glossy glazed finish with a bulky, sturdy build to create a countertop utensil holder that is both chic and functional. Customer reviews echo this sentiment, praising the recent IKEA release for its versatility, robustness, and beauty. 

At the time of writing, the brand new BRUGDHAJ utensil holder has collected a total of 22 ratings on the official IKEA website, earning a perfect 5 star score. Although only three costumers in the United States have taken the time to write out their thoughts on the product since April, other written reviews coming from all around the world confirm its fame. From Spain to Canada, shoppers agree that this popular IKEA 2025 release is taking kitchen storage to another level. One reviewer on IKEA's website called it "totally versatile," highlighting the jar's potential to be repurposed around the house. Another loves it for being "nice and wide," keeping utensils from being crammed in. 

Only one person, hailing from Germany, gave the BRUGDHAJ utensil holder a less than perfect score, deducting one star for a price they considered too high. Compared to other pieces in the series, the utensil holder is the most expensive, along with the 41 ounce lidded jar, which is taller but leaner than the former. U.S. costumers, however, will likely find the $9.99 IKEA price tag attractive, considering similar products like the Target Camwood Collection Stoneware Utensil Holder and the Walmart FlexiTech Glazed Stoneware Utensil Holder are a good few dollars more expensive. The latter retailer does sell a competitively priced option, the Mainstays Glazed Stoneware Utensil Holder, for $9.44, but it has a much simpler design.

The product's overall buzz was established by looking at its presence within common online forums used by IKEA costumers such as YouTube and TikTok, where it, along with the rest of the BRUGDHAJ line, was featured multiple times as one of 2025's best IKEA finds. 

Additionally, we compared it to options sold by competitors, particularly those operating within the same budget-friendly price range as IKEA, and with a similarly widespread costumer reach. This also included analyzing the material that each product was made of, each utensil holder's design, and how well each product would likely hold up to wear and tear in the average reader's kitchen.
