The brand is clearly aiming to compete with other big names in the robot vacuum space, and with plenty of modern smart features you can control from your mobile device, it's pretty clear that the V50 Ultra Complete could be the next big thing in home cleaning tech. I was thrilled to receive a V50 Ultra Complete courtesy of the brand in exchange for a no-strings-attached honest review, and I was excited to see how it stacked up against my lazy perfectionist expectations and my busy three-story home filled with pets and people.

As someone with a dust allergy, sticking my arm under furniture to vacuum stubborn dust build-up always leaves me with hives and missed spots. The V50 Ultra Complete fit easily under all of my furniture pieces, and thoroughly vacuumed every inch of dust and debris before self-emptying once the task was done. My favorite part about this process was using the app's camera monitoring feature to actually watch it attack those hidden areas. As for the vacuuming ability, the first run through didn't leave a major impression. Hardwood floors make any dirt or dust extremely noticeable, and there were a few pieces that seemed to be left behind on the first round which was initially disappointing. Once I became more familiar with the app and custom cleaning options, I realized I could change the intensity of the vacuum tasks and cleaning was much more impressive.

As the device began vacuuming wood floors, carpet, and tile throughout the house, I noticed how thoughtful the design was. However, in those moments of frustration I directed the app to head towards those "extra cleaning areas" to prioritize the messes.

Setting up the MOVA V50 to mop was truly as easy as pressing a button. I queued a custom task on the app to vacuum and then mop my room. After vacuuming, the device returned to the dock, which attached the mop pads and filled the device with water and cleaning solution automatically, then sent it off to complete the task. As someone who can't sit still, I was thrilled that the mopped areas seemed to dry quickly afterwards. In addition to a sticky juice spill that it wiped up beautifully, I was eager to watch it to tackle a small splotch of dried, waterproof eyeliner that had spilled about a month prior. I wasn't expecting it to fully remove this stain, but it did a decent job of minimizing it after using the "extra cleaning area" app feature. I eventually tackled this stain by hand, which took some elbow grease.

Considering the height of my stairs, I needed to carry the device to the desired floor when trying the multi-floor mopping. When doing a vacuum-then-mop cycle, I would need to bring it upstairs to vacuum, then back down to the dock to empty the vacuum and prepare the mop pads, before carrying it back upstairs to complete the task. It made the process feel a bit more disjointed, and added some time to the process, which made it feel less functional for a full-home tidy up. However, my previous manual methods made the floors smell after mopping, but this device self-cleans the mop pads immediately after each use, offering a fresh smell instead.

The MOVA V50 Ultra Complete comes with endless smart-phone enabled features that make the cleaning process even more convenient. Before you start your first task, the device will map the floor, and display a detailed map of the floor and individual rooms or zones. You can even customize the map to recognize "No-Go Zones," room partitions, curtains, and more. However, the device automatically noted most of these details in my home, including various pieces of furniture or varying floor materials. After mapping, you can begin cleaning, and even program extra cleaning for spots that need more attention. The custom cleaning allows you to program your task, noting everything from suction power and mopping temperature, to specific zone or room attention (this was particularly helpful when I spilled a few crumbs and needed a quick vacuum over the spot).

The vacuum also features a camera that does more than just help the device identify its surroundings. When I programmed it to vacuum in hard-to-see spots like under the bed, I was able to use camera monitoring to actually watch it eradicate all the dust bunnies from my phone. When using this feature, it even allows you to use a remote to direct the device any way you prefer – almost like a toy remote control car for adults. As a pet owner, one of my favorite settings was the Pet Moments feature that automatically captured adorable GIFs when encountering my dog during one of the vacuuming sessions.

Overall, the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete offers homeowners a smart and convenient way to clean their space while barely lifting a finger, though multi-story homes may require extra time and light manual effort. The range of futuristic features may feel overwhelming at first for those who've been in a committed relationship with their old-school vacuum, but after experimenting with the device, it's clear that change can sometimes be a great thing. It's easy to set up and program for use and even easier to create an effective cleaning schedule. If you tend to avoid chores like vacuuming and mopping, the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete makes every aspect effortless, from preparation to emptying dust and washing the used mop pads. Multi-level homes may require a bit more personal involvement in terms of transferring the device between floors, adding some manual time and effort onto the tasks. In some cases, the detailed tasks feel like they're taking a long time to complete, which isn't always ideal for those speedy, last-minute tidy ups before guests arrive.

The app allows you to customize the experience for more control while offering some unique and useful features. That said, it's important to remember that this is a self-emptying robot vacuum and mop – not a real life maid. Certain set-in stains are hard enough for a human to remove, so you should manage your expectations with the MOVA V50 Ultra Complete as well. Think of it as a handy helper for your home. Whether you have pets, kids, or a tendency to spill crumbs and liquids, this vacuum helps you keep floors tidy at the press of a button.

I've never used a robot vacuum before, but I spent some time exploring the MOVA website to familiarize myself with its features and capabilities before putting it to the test.
