Five Below's Popular Tabletop Fire Pits Have Been Recalled Over Safety Concerns
Five Below's popular tabletop fire pits have been recalled over safety concerns, according to a notice posted on the Five Below website. If you own one of the recalled items, cease all use of the product and properly dispose of it. Do not just toss the fire pit in the trash, though; instead, safely get rid of it by following your local hazardous waste disposal guidelines. You can first get a full refund by bringing the product to the store or emailing Five Below with a photo.
Two tabletop fire pits were recalled on September 18, 2025: a black version with a universal product code (UPC) of 1922343012788 and a beveled gray version with a UPC of 1922346316838. The products' packages are labeled "Easy Modern Cement Tabletop Fire Pit." They have a stainless steel fuel cup, a cover for flames, and a lid. More than 60,000 of these fire pits were sold online and in-store between April 2024 and August 2025, giving customers unexpected issues like fuel splashing or leaking out of the vessel. This is a major hidden fire hazard that can lead to fires and potentially severe burns. And since Five Below's tabletop fire pits aren't the first to be recalled, you may want to stick to outdoor fire pit kits rather than tabletop products to be safe. If you have gotten any injuries due to the recalled products, you may be eligible for compensation, whether it happened before or after the recall.
How to get a refund from Five Below
While you may love these fire pits, disposal is the best way to protect your home against fires. Luckily, you won't lose a dime because Five Below is issuing a full refund when you bring your product to the store or send an email. First, know that you don't have to show proof of purchase, like a receipt or an email confirmation. Instead, the company will honor the refund if you bring the fire pit to a Five Below store, offering the $2.50 or $5 that the fire pit originally cost in cash, store credit, or a credit sent back to your card. The staff may take the product from you for disposal, but most of the time, you will have to do that part yourself.
If you don't have a Five Below nearby, send an email claim to Recalls@FiveBelow.com. All you need to do is write your name and date on the fire pit with a permanent marker and email them a photo. Once your claim is accepted, you will get a check or store credit of up to $5. If you haven't received a confirmation notice, you can also contact the company Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. EST by calling their toll-free number, 844-452-3569.
What to do if you were injured
No injuries have been reported from Five Below's fire pits. If you have experienced any, you can choose to file a product liability claim. Take photos of the injury, write down what happened, and keep copies of receipts for any medical supplies or appointments; even insurance claims can work in your favor. Reach out to a product liability attorney and send the evidence to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). From there, the CPSC may launch an investigation and reach out to Five Below. The attorney will review your claim and advise you on how to move forward. Approved cases can potentially lead to compensation for medical bills, loss of income, and pain and suffering.
For individuals who did not know that the product was recalled and ended up getting hurt, Five Below is still responsible for any injuries. On the other hand, if you decide to keep using the product after seeing the recall, you may not be entitled to any compensation.
