The Most Reliable Induction Stove Brand In 2025, According To Reviews

Induction cooking technology has been around for nearly a century, but only recently has it begun to put a real dent in the hegemony of gas and electric stoves in American households. Choosing the right brand for your needs can be a daunting experience, however. House Digest looked at customer reviews from the top-rated induction stoves in the biggest U.S. retailers, including Lowe's, Home Depot, and Wayfair, and compared those results to expert reviews to determine the most reliable induction stove brand in 2025. LG and Samsung were the expert choices, while Frigidaire was largely preferred by customers.

Exploring the pros and cons of induction ranges is crucial when making the decision for your kitchen. They're still generally more expensive than the alternative, but upfront costs have become more attainable, especially when energy efficiency and long-term savings are taken into consideration.

Induction technology uses electromagnetic energy to transfer heat from copper coils underneath the cooktop glass directly to the cookware, which must be made from compatible magnetic materials like stainless steel or cast iron. With electrical cooktops, for example, the coils heat the cooking surface, which, in turn, heats your pans and pots (or anything else in its vicinity). Induction eliminates the middleman, creating a much faster and more precise cooking experience. As soon as that magnetic bond is broken, the heat transfer stops. Similarly, there's no wasted energy heating up anything other than the cookware, which also means no burnt splatter and spills around it, making induction the easy-to-clean stove type to consider when looking to renovate your kitchen.

Breaking down the results

Out of nine expert reviews analyzed, five picked LG as the brand with the best overall induction stove. Samsung trailed close behind with top mentions in the remaining four reviews. Boston-based appliances dealer Yale Appliances, in particular, further mentioned that LG's 6.3 cubic feet Smart Induction Slide-In Range was the model with the lowest service rate in the company, meaning it received the least amount of assistance and repair requests. However, it's worth noting that the company hasn't carried Samsung products since January 2025.

LG is generally regarded as the more reliable brand of the two, ranking second in Consumer Reports' 2025 Kitchen Appliance Brand Reliability Ranking. Samsung came 20th. This ranking is based on hundreds of thousands of customer surveys with a focus on the durability of the products.

With that said, when it comes to customer reviews on popular American retailers' websites, Frigidaire holds the crown. The company, which occupied the 11th spot in the CR reliability ranking, was the highest-reviewed induction stove brand in Home Depot, Lowe's, and Wayfair. It also received a generally positive response from Costco shoppers, although LG and GE held the top spots there. This preference from the general public is possibly due to the brand's affordability compared to competitors. At Home Depot, for example, a 30-inch 5-burner induction stove from Frigidaire is over $1000 cheaper than an LG model of the same size. This is backed up by many of the expert reviews, which elected Frigidaire as the best budget option on the market.
