CES 2026: The 10 Most Promising Products That Came Out Of This Year's Show
Las Vegas is known for all things over-the-top, and the annual CES convention is no exception. If you're looking to make your house a smart home, CES always shows off a bounty of smart gadgets, from locks to lighting. And there's a robot for nearly anything you can't be bothered to do. The 2026 installment of this yearly technology showcase was brimming with novelties and toys that would make any gearhead swoon. Sifting through the laundry-folding robots, gluten-detecting devices, and gaming paraphernalia, there were a good number of products that have real potential to make life easier — and more enjoyable — for the perpetually busy.
Some of these marvels are not really accessible for the average homeowner as of yet, and some may just wind up being a waste of money. However, there were a decent number of inventions that are making in-roads toward major savings in time, water, energy, and resources, even if they're still in development. Among these, a few are winners of CNET's Best of CES 2026 for their categories, such as the Roborock Saros Rover, the Samsung Music Studio 5, and the Ecoldbrew coffee maker. Meanwhile, others are innovative products that deserve recognition for the visionary benefits they could bring to our daily lives. Even if the featured items are a bit pie-in-the-sky as of now, their designs and functions are a sign of good things coming.
Roborock Saros Rover robot vacuum
Vacuuming stairs often makes you want to rip out the carpet angrily. Let a robot vacuum it instead! Not only will the Roborock Saros Rover keep your floors shipshape, but its two AI-controlled legs on wheels can mount steps while removing dirt. The Saros Rover relies on the combined forces of AI, 3D spatial information, and motion sensors to navigate dirty spaces. It's even able to make small jumps if necessary, a boon for tackling dirty multi-leveled rooms.
AISO compact smart oven
While the "smart" aspect of smart ovens doesn't always deliver much substance with their bells and whistles, the Apecoo AISO AI Smart Oven stood out from the white noise in the smart oven category at CES this year. This reliable countertop oven can take on a Thanksgiving turkey without even the press of a button. The AISO oven uses AI to read what you've placed inside it and cooks it accordingly. Plus, there's no need for a probe to check the food's temperature — thermal algorithms take care of that task too.
Robotin R2 carpet washer and vacuum combo
A carpet striped clean by a robotic vacuum is one of the best welcomes home. The Robotin R2's hybrid design saves both time and space, since its one compact docking station accommodates two small modules, one for vacuuming and one for carpet cleaning. Where the Robotin R2 shines extra brightly is its ability to target stains. While you might only deep clean your carpets once or twice annually, spills may be more frequent occurrences. The app allows you to communicate what kind of stain it is, and the machine will treat it accordingly.
Lockin Veno Pro smart lock system
Open your front doors without a key or a code. The Lockin Veno Pro reads the veins in your palm to give you access to your space. If that sounds a bit creepy, it's worth knowing the company claims this detection method is 99.9% accurate. Wisely, the Veno Pro falls back on five other entry methods including fingerprint ID, voice recognition, and good old-fashioned keys. The Veno Pro also contains a camera, and its battery, which has a three-month life, can be charged with an external solar panel.
Ecoldbrew coffee maker-cup combo
Mmmm, coffee. Hot or cold, this elixir that helps us get the job done is a daily essential for many. If cold brew is your thing, the Ecoldbrew is raring to take your caffeination experience to the next level. Getting a batch of cold brew coffee ready is a long, involved process, but this Stanley cup lookalike could condense the process to five minutes. Add water, ice, and whole bean coffee, and with the help of a mini burr grinder for the beans, you'll be sipping a delicious brew in time for your morning commute.
Samsung Music Studio 5 smart speaker
Not everything that we spend money on needs to be 100% practical. Besides, music is pretty indispensable. The Samsung Music Studio 5 will make it sound amazing. Of course it's got smart tech features, but the sound quality is what really earns its place on this list. The speaker produces crystal-clear, distortion-free sound and pairs with other Samsung speakers to fill your home with sound. The Music Studio 5's stylish design and color options mean it could also give your decor a boost.
Clear Drop plastic compactor
Plastic waste is the scourge of our times, and even products with little packaging tend to include a little synthetic material. The Clear Drop Soft Plastic Compactor smooshes bags, film, and other flexible plastic waste into a tight cube using minimal energy. You mail these hard-to-recycle materials to the company for guaranteed recycling. The unit costs $200, and the subscription to the recycling program runs $50 per month. It's definitely not the easiest way to make your home more eco-friendly, but its price doesn't put the Clear Drop too far out of reach for eco-conscious homeowners.
Droplet smart home water sensor
If an astronomical water bill's got you down or — dare we suggest — you're concerned about this dwindling essential, it's time to track what you use. The Droplet Smart Home Water Sensor will help you do that with its ultrasonic sensors. It's easy to install without any tools, and you can connect the Droplet with Home Assistant and MQTT and access it through a mobile app. With the app, you'll see which appliances are using the most water, monitor usage habits, and receive instant alerts in the case of leaks.
GE Profile smart refrigerator with Kitchen Assistant
The newest GE Profile smart refrigerator on display at CES does more than just help you plan for your weekly shopping trip. Its barcode scanner is what will probably grab your attention first; a quick scan of an item adds it immediately to your shopping list. But what about things that don't have barcodes? With its Kitchen Assistant function, the Profile helps you track what you have with cameras that remind you of your fridge's contents. You can access the list on an app or even send your order directly to Instacart!
C-200 UltraSonic chef's knife
Seattle Ultrasonics advertises the C-200 as the world's first ultrasonic knife. What does this mean exactly? Turn the knife on, and its microvibrations help home chefs cut with up to 50% less effort than they would with the same knife powered off. The company claims that the knife's ultrasonic feature makes it easier to clean, too. The C-200 functions silently, and the vibrations are imperceptible while you hold it.
