Wreaths help bring any holiday decor to life, while looking beautiful and helping to brighten up both indoor and outdoor spaces. They can be hung on your front door, or you can use them to adorn a bare wall in your living room.  Seasonal or end-of-year holidays are the most common wreath options, but that doesn't mean you can't make a Valentine's Day wreath to celebrate this holiday. By going to Dollar Tree, you can create something stunning without it costing an arm and a leg.

For this DIY, you will want a few rolls of jute, battery-powered fairy lights, paint, a white paint marker, and various small Valentine's Day decor items. If you want a little sparkle in your life, a few tubes of glitter might be another good addition. You should be able to find dozens of options, including these Valentine's Day mini wooden ornaments from Dollar Tree. Take some time to consider decorations for the rest of your home as well, as there are plenty of Dollar Tree DIYs to decorate on a budget this Valentine's Day

If you want to fully embrace the heart theme, you'll have to get the frame from somewhere else, as they don't appear to sell them at Dollar Tree. However, the Aodaer heart wire wreaths will work beautifully. They come in a 2-pack, and although you don't need two for this project, you can use the extra one for another clever Valentine's Day DIY using dollar store tablecloths.

How to create your Valentine's Day wreath

The first step is to take all your plain wooden items and paint them. You can use acrylic or spray paint to make the process easier. In fact, you can even master spray painting your DIYs with two easy finds from Dollar Tree, so consider looking for a metal cooling rack and a plant saucer while you're in the store if you want to go with the latter option. As your trims are drying, take your jute and wrap it around your heart-shaped wreath. Try to add it in an even layer and cover as many gaps as possible. You can also incorporate the fairy lights as you're wrapping.

Once your wooden pieces are dry, you can add more details, such as little white lines around the edges to resemble stitches, bows, or smaller hearts. Then, use hot glue to attach all of your decorations around the frame, so it's totally covered and looks bountiful. Finally, make a loop of jute and tie it to the top of your heart so it has a place to hang.

If you like the idea of this wreath, but you want something a little more colorful than jute as your base, there are a lot of other options. You might like to use a Valentine's Day-themed heart garland from Dollar Tree, or wrap the frame with colorful tulle. Your choices are only limited by what you have lying around, the products at your Dollar Tree, and your imagination.
