Here's How To Display And Organize Your Jewelry With A Dollar Tree Pegboard
If you've ever tried to declutter and organize jewelry in your home, you know how much of a nightmare it can be. Without a dedicated organization system, you always end up with cluttered drawers and tangled jewelry, but finding jewelry racks that look good and don't cost much can be hard. As a solution, TikTok user @ronandivyjewelry had the idea of using affordable Dollar Tree supplies to make a simple jewelry rack. Plus, this is a customizable solution, since you're able to choose how many pegboards and hooks to use based on the size of your jewelry collection.
To pull this off, you'll just need rectangular-shaped pegboards, pegboard hooks, and zip ties. To turn these things into a jewelry rack, the idea is to attach the pegboards together with zip ties to create an accordion shape that can stand on its own. Then, the pegboard hooks can be added to the pre-made pegboard hole, and they can be used to hold up jewelry. It's clever, affordable, and incredibly simple.
How a pegboard can turn into a jewelry rack
To make this DIY, place the pegboards next to each other, attaching them by their long side. Use two zip ties per side: one at the top and the other at the bottom, and cut the excess plastic once they're tightened. Create a zig-zag, accordion-like shape with the pegboards so that it can stand vertically on its own steadily. Then, add the hooks throughout, either in straight lines or in a more organic and messy way. You can adapt the layout to your jewelry pieces, for example, so there's no need to stack two levels on top of each other if you need to hang long necklaces that will take up the entire pegboard's height.

You can customize how this looks in a few ways. First, the pegboards exist in white and black, so you can choose whichever style works best for you. Another option is to paint the pegboards using spray paint to make them match your interior design style: bright colors, metallics, and pastels would all look wonderful for a jewelry stand. Make sure to paint both the front and the back, since this is a standing organizer and the back can be visible from some angles.
