Costco's May 2026 Deal: The Shed That's A Thousand Dollars Off This Month

You'l enjoy several benefits when using small outdoor storage sheds, such as protecting your outdoor tools from weather and keeping your gear organized. Unfortunately, these structures can be pricey, coming in at an average cost of about $4,000. Shopping around for deals, however, may allow you to fit one in your budget.

Because of its consistently low prices for members, shopping at Costco helps you save money on household items for both indoor and outdoor usage. Among its thousands of products, Costco carries nearly two dozen varieties of outdoor storage sheds on its website. For May (and much of June), Costco is offering significant price savings on one of its storage sheds with the Yardline Crestwood Do-It-Yourself Wood Shed. Its price from May 11 through June 17 is $1,999.99 on the Costco website. This is a $1,000 discount on the regular price, or about 33% off.

This Yardline shed has dimensions of 8 by 14 feet with 10 feet of height at the peak of the angled roof, and its interior storage capacity comes in at 934 cubic feet. It has double doors on one of the 8-foot wide ends, a single door on one of the long sides, and a window next to the single door. The shed ships with pre-cut wood pieces, so you don't have to saw or measure. The wood arrives primed but unpainted, and you will have to separately purchase shingles to protect the roof deck.

More than 67% of Costco customers provided a four- or five-star review for the product. Many of the reviewers were impressed with the ease of assembly, although they said it could take a few days and works better with multiple people helping. "I am 73 years old and did most of the work myself," one Costco reviewer said. "The instructions were very detailed."

When buying from Costco, you need a membership to the warehouse club, which costs $65 or $130 per year based on the level you select. However, you won't have to pay shipping charges for the Yardline shed, as Costco guarantees free delivery with a curbside drop-off. One reviewer who gave the product five stars said there was no opportunity to direct the drop-off location because of a late-day delivery. (Customers in Hawaii, Alaska, and Puerto Rico will have to pay a shipping fee.) Costco offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee on this product. If you want to return the shed for a refund, though, you will have to haul it to a Costco warehouse yourself.

On the flip side, 16.5% of Costco customer reviewers gave the Yardline shed a one-star review. According to customer reviewers, one of the biggest downsides to buying this outdoor shed from Costco is that the materials included were of low quality, and some of the parts were missing. "Every board is incredibly twisted, covered in knots, and any cuts are sloppy," one customer reviewer said. "I've had to buy enough extra 2-by-4s at this point [that] the kit hasn't saved any time." Buying extra, high-quality materials to replace what shipped in the kit will eat into the $1,000 of savings that you're receiving with this shed. One customer reviewer who gave the Yardline shed a five-star review still said that paying for someone else to do the assembly would've been a better option than the challenge of doing DIY work.

It's important to note that you will need to prep a foundation for the shed before assembling it. It's common to install a concrete pad or a gravel pad as a base. It needs to be level to ensure a successful shed installation. Installing a concrete slab for residential use costs $6 to $12 per square foot, for example. A gravel pad may cost $4 to $10 per square foot to install.
