Watch Out: This Popular Costco Porch Swing Just Got A Major Recall

Approximately 18,500 porch swings sold at Costco have been recalled due to a product defect that poses a serious risk of injury or death. If you bought a porch swing from Costco recently, it's crucial to check whether your model is among the recalled items. 

The swing in question is the Menlo Woven Patio Swing by Agio, model number 1934256. It has a rectangular metal frame with a wicker seat and fabric canopy overhead. Agio issued a voluntary safety recall after the distributor, World Bright International Limited, received 8 reports of customer injuries. The issue stems from open S-hooks that allowed the seat to detach from the swing frame, causing users to fall backward off the swing.

Originally sold for between $549 and $649, the swing was available for purchase from February 1 to March 20, 2026. It was offered both online and in Costco stores. Luckily, if you have the swing at home, you don't have to throw it out. World Bright International Limited is offering hook replacements and instructions to fix the faulty hook system. You must complete the recall form on the Agio website in order to receive the repair kit. The official recall date of the Agio Menlo Woven Patio Swing was May 14, 2026. If you own a different woven swing that you purchased at Costco, don't fret. Only models with the number 1934256 are affected by the recall. If you're not sure about your model number or whether your swing is among the affected products, you can call World Bright International Limited at 1-888-383-1932. Note that this number is completely toll-free.

If you have identified your model as the recalled product, don't take this warning lightly. A porch swing might seem like a charming idea to spice up a boring garden, but this swing isn't usable in its original condition. 

To underscore this fact, Agio wrote on its website that users should "STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY." Although there have been no reports of fatal injuries, it is listed as a possibility on the official U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website. So far, the reports involved injuries to the head and arms. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time Costco-sold products have been a part of a major recall.
