If you live in a household that is constantly overflowing with various art projects, from drawings to poems to paintings, then you may be in need of an aesthetically-pleasing way to display them. The front of your fridge can only take so much without making your kitchen look crowded and messy. Instead, you can combine a simple towel rod, hooks, and clips to easily showcase your various art pieces. Whether you have a home full of little ones who love to draw or you yourself enjoy creating new projects, this easy DIY ensures your art is out of the way but still visible without taking away from the rest of your interior design.

Irina from the Instagram page @mintandpinehome is a huge fan of all things cute, which includes her various home DIYs that are not only adorable and affordable, but easy to replicate. From cooking recipes to instructional home DIYs, Irina is always showcasing her talents to her nearly 100,000 followers. Most of her videos center around home projects, like layered candles, homemade holiday cards, and even decorated tablecloths. For this particular DIY, Irina decided she needed a proper way to store her family's artwork.

Regardless of what you choose to display, this setup provides the added bonus of allowing you to easily switch out the pieces for new ones. No need to take down and take apart a picture frame — simply unhook, remove, and replace!

How to display artwork using towel rods

Your choice of towel bar, hooks, and clips are totally up to you and depends on how you want to design the display. If you want extra space for art pieces, we would suggest grabbing two bars so that you have plenty of space. Try placing this in an area of your home that needs a pop of life and color, like an otherwise boring hallway wall or even an empty entryway. You can find smaller options for as cheap as $7 at Walmart or longer versions from Home Depot for around $16. Even thrifted towel bars can help you to organize your home and decor

If you opt for two bars, keep at least a foot or so in between them to make space for the drawings. Once your towel bars are secured to the wall, you can start adding your towel bar hooks, or S-hooks. You can easily find a pack of these at home improvement stores like Ace Hardware or Walmart for under $10. Hang your hooks onto your towel bars. In order to easily display the art, your last supply item will be clips, specifically bulldog clips. These are basically clips with holes at the top, making it easy to hang these from your S-hooks. Finally, attach your artwork to the various clips.

While this user in particular used towel bars as a chic way to display her children's artwork, this does not have to be solely a kid's craft. Whether you're an artist yourself with extra pieces to show off, or you want to display unframed prints made by loved ones, this is the perfect project to showcase art around your home. You could display other precious pieces like notes, recipes, photos, and more.
