No More Stuffed Shelves: IKEA's Versatile Solution For Blanket Storage In Small Spaces

Blankets can be works of art, but they can also be bulky. Not everyone has the room — or the luxury of a linen cabinet — to store a pile of folded throws and/or quilts. But if you have a bit of wall space, you can store and display your blankets with something like IKEA's Brogrund Towel Rail. Although the Brogrund is marketed as a bathroom accessory, you can easily imagine it holding blankets instead. 

Made with stainless steel, this towel rack features a minimalist design and actually has two rails. It measures 26.5 inches long and 5 inches deep. The center rail is a key design feature in that it gives you two rows to work with for your blankets.

With these dimensions, you can easily display two or three lightweight throws (or even a dramatic, chunky knit). Depending on your storage needs, you could likely squeeze in a few more small blankets but keep in mind that leaving a little bit of negative space, aka the designer tip that will make your décor really pop in your home, will give this metal rack a more high-end feel.
