Penthouse At Lionel Messi's Miami Home Was Just Bought For 20 Million

Richest soccer player in the world, Argentine-born Lionel Messi, purchased his second home at the Regalia in Sunny Isle Beach, Florida, not long after buying a unit at the Porsche Design Tower two and a half years earlier. The Sunny Isle Beach luxury condo consists of the entire ninth floor of the building, complete with access to six pools, a spa, cabanas, children's playhouse, full chief's kitchen, champaign bar, wine cellar, and even direct access to the beach, according to Hola!. Messi paid a total of $7.3 million for the luxury condo and all the perks that accompany it (per The Real Deal).

A few stories above Messi's luxury condo, however, the Regalia penthouse was recently sold to a mystery buyer. After barely five weeks on the market, consisting of forty-two showings and eleven bids, the condo was quickly sold for $20.55 million (per New York Post). This payment is over $5 million above the minimum bid of $15 million for the luxury penthouse.

Located right along the beach, the newly sold penthouse is located on the top floor of the Regalia, at 19575 Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. This location is approximately 40 minutes outside of the city of Miami. The unit covers the entire three levels of the Regalia, which has a total of forty-six floors. According to Curbed Miami, the luxury penthouse has just under 11,000 square feet of indoor space, with the additional 6,000 square feet of terrace and rooftop space. Regalia mentioned that their terraces wrap around each condo entirely, providing a 360-degree view of the surrounding area. This includes a perfect view of the ocean and the famous Miami sunsets.

The Regalia further mentions that the penthouse terrace is complete with a private pool, with a stone wall and waterfall feature, along with a full pool bathroom. The terrace also provides a retractable canopy, perfect for sunny days, and an outdoor summer kitchen. Lounge seating, pool chairs, and a dining area are also located outside on the terrace.
