Banish Unwanted Bathroom Odors With This Unique Houseplant
By A. R. HOPKINS
While bathroom odors are a common problem, you may be able to fight them using moth orchids, which have the ability to remove volatile organic compounds (or VOCs) from the air.
Since the most problematic odor in bathrooms is usually associated with skatole, the VOC found in human and other mammals’ feces, moth orchids might likely be able to help.
Although moth orchids have been shown to reduce some VOCs like xylene, their effect on skatole is still unknown. However, it may still be worth a try.
Other common houseplants such as snake plants, spider plants, aloe vera, and peace lilies are also capable of purifying the air and enhancing the aesthetics of your bathroom.
