Don't Throw Out Old Shoe Boxes Without Trying This Brilliant Closet Storage DIY
When you buy a pair of shoes, are you the type of person that ditches the box or keeps it? Understandably, a lot of us like to avoid clutter, so tossing it into the recycling might seem like a smart idea. Yet, with how many things you can do to upcycle shoe boxes, it's hard to not hang onto them! One brilliant hack allows you to transform old shoe boxes into a very neat storage solution that will help you keep your closet organized. It's super easy, as it just requires creating dividers out of one shoe box to insert into another one.
A bedroom should be a haven, so it's ideal to create a tidy and organized space. This can take some time and creativity — but it doesn't have to necessarily cost a pretty penny. Stores like the Dollar Tree carry all kinds of items that are perfect for giving everything a place. For example, their organizational bins can be used all around the home, helping clear up some of the chaos. Plastic bins like these are inexpensive already, but you can save even more by creating your own out of shoe boxes.
Grab two shoeboxes for this simple DIY
For this DIY, you'll need two identical large-sized boxes with lids to create the organizer. Keep in mind you can use any sized boxes you like — it just depends on how much you want to store. You're also going to need a ruler, marker, and a box cutter too. Start by turning one of the boxes over, and with the ruler and marker, divide the box into four sections. Then, cut the box into those four sections. Flip them over, and you should now have four "dividers" to be used inside your other box. Assemble them any way you want, creating either two big spaces, three spaces, or four smaller ones.
The box can now be used to store various items and help keep your closet organized. Depending on how big the show boxes are, you could keep accessories, jewelry, photos, or trinkets inside. It would also work fabulously in the bathroom for makeup and small toiletries too. If you want to take it to the next level and not have it look like a shoebox at all — decorate it with your favorite crafting supplies. Or, if you use the organizer for more important items — consider keeping the box just the way it is. That way, no one will ever know it contains little treasures instead of shoes. Hopefully, this hack can help you achieve a more organized bedroom!
