No one can say that we DIYers are a little slow on the uptake. For example, it usually doesn't take us long to figure out that the thing that was sold to us for one occasion is actually meant for another purpose. We just didn't know it at the time of purchase. Take Dollar Tree stackable clear wine bottle holders. Sure, they keep all of your wine bottles on their sides, thus preserving the moisture of the corks (and the quality of the wine) as they should. However, the stackables' rounded shape and their hook-and-stack design make them a no-brainer when it comes to trash bag storage.
For this kitchen cabinet storage hack to work, you'll need some Dollar Tree Essentials shatter-free stackable clear acrylic wine bottle holders. This kitchen organization trick takes advantage of your vertical storage options in the kitchen. If you've ever used stackable shelves in the pantry to store bags of powdered or brown sugar, single packages of Ramen, and even dish towels, you're already primed to make this kitchen storage hack work. To that end, you'll want to buy enough single wine stackable units to satisfy your trash bag storage needs.
Organizing with the Dollar Tree wine stackables
Begin this trash bag hack by assembling a tower of wine stackables. There's a hook on the back of each one and two "hand clips" on each of the sides. (We call 'em hand clips because their shape resembles the hands on LEGO figurines.) Slide the back hook onto the back. Next, rest the top wine holder on top of the bottom one, allowing the hands to grip the wine holder below.
You'll eventually stack all of the pieces together. However, it'll be easier to work with the trash bags if you just have two stacked together initially. Slide a roll of plastic garbage bags into the bottom wine holder. The design of the stackables is such that there's a gap of open space on each side once there is more than one unit in the stack. Although small, the space on each side is still large enough to slide the end of a trash bag through the gap. Once the trash bag is through, pull on it to start the roll moving.
Once you've completed this step, add more wine holders to the stack. If you use more than one kind of trash bag, like say SUPERBIO 13-gallon compostable kitchen waste bags for your table scraps; ACQKUNLO biodegradable white kitchen bags for your regular garbage; and large green bags for big trash jobs, then make one dedicated stack of three wine holders for all of these. Put one roll in each level. That way if you need trash bags in another part of the house, you'll just pick up the stack and go.
