When Will Home Town Kickstart Premiere On HGTV?

Another "Home Town" spinoff is coming to HGTV on Sunday, April 24, 2022. Erin and Ben Napier are expanding their expertise in historic renovation and restoration out of their hometown of Laurel, MS, and to six towns across the country. "Home Town Kickstart" is presented by People magazine, which will share stories for each municipality. The lucky towns are Buffalo, Wyoming; Cornwall, New York; Winslow, Arizona; LaGrange, Kentucky; Thomaston, Georgia; and Minden, Louisiana.

There will be three projects in each town: refresh the home of a local hero, give a small business a beautiful upgrade, and reinvigorate a public space to enhance the residents' quality of life and engender community pride, according to HGTV. "We see the positive impact of this small town renaissance every day in Laurel," said Erin in an interview with the network. "Ben and I can't wait to share all we've learned with our fellow HGTV experts so they can help these communities achieve their goals."

The Home Town Kickstart renovation team

It won't be just Ben and Erin Napier working on these towns, like in the original "Home Town." Instead, a team of HGTV stars has come together to help renovate these six places. "Home Town Kickstart" will include: Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent ("The Nate & Jeremiah Home Project"); Ty Pennington ("Rock the Block"); Jasmine Roth ("Help! I Wrecked My House"); Alison Victoria ("Windy City Rehab"); Lyndsay Lamb and Leslie Davis ("Unsellable Houses"); Joe Mazza ("Home Inspector Joe"); Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt ("100 Day Dream Home"); Page Turner ("Fix My Flip"); and Carmine Sabatella and Mike Pyle ("Inside Out"), as noted by HGTV.

Ben and Erin have renovated over 80 homes in Laurel, MS, and are ready to take their skills and their team to these six towns. With the breadth of knowledge that will be brought to the table by the entire "Home Town Kickstart" team, it's safe to say that the transformations will be spectacular.

A sneak peek in Buffalo, Wyoming

"Home Town Kickstart" is about remodeling an entire town, not just a single home. In anticipation of the show's debut, People has released a sneak peek. Starting in Buffalo, Wyoming, Ty Pennington and Jasmine Roth are coming together to bring the local movie theater back to its prime. This movie theater is the only one still open in the county. To that end, it's super important that Pennington and Roth update the beloved building so it can thrive, not only for the owners but for the community. Of course, this can't happen without some fun. In the short sneak peek, Pennington is shown tasting some soda after it spills out of the theater's soda machine.

Even People staffers will join the HGTV family on-site. Andrea Boehlke, host of "People in 10" will assist Pennington and Roth in Buffalo. Meanwhile, Andrea Lavinthal, People's Style and Beauty Director, will help to revive a local boutique in the Cornwall, New York episode.

The OG Home Town is taking a break

With "Home Town Kickstart" beginning on Sunday, April 24, at 8 p.m. on HGTV, the original "Home Town" is taking a break to accommodate for the new series. Erin Napier posted the news on her Instagram page, saying that the program is taking a mid-season hiatus after the new episode on April 3rd to allow them to focus on their most recent spinoff. While "Home Town" doesn't have an exact date to resume for Season 6, it is expected to finish filming the second half of 20 episodes in fall of 2022. Luckily there will only be a two-week break before the Napiers are back on their OG show.

The Napiers' other "Home Town" spinoffs are "Home Town Takeover" and "Home Town: Ben's Workshop," which can be found on HGTV and Discovery +. Who knows what future shows will bring the Napiers to our screens in new and exciting iterations!
